Prognostic index to assess the risk of systemic right ventricular failure after atrial switch operation for transposition of the great arteries

چکیده

Background:Diabetic patients with Non ST Elevated Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI) are at high risk for subsequent cardiovascular events. But, early Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) in group of NSTEMI significantly prove the primary outcomes.

Bipolar ablation of ventricular tachycardia in a patient after atrial switch operation for dextro-transposition of the great arteries.

A 39-year-old man with atrial switch repair (Mustard baffle) and transpulmonary resection of infundibular muscle for dextro-transposition of the great arteries and subpulmonary stenosis was referred for ablation of a drug-refractory monomorphic ventricular tachycardia (VT). Before the ablation, the patient underwent multidetector CT to detect anomalous coronary anatomy (Figure 1A–1C) and contra...

Circulating microRNA expression profile and systemic right ventricular function in adults after atrial switch operation for complete transposition of the great arteries

BACKGROUND Data on the use of circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) as biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases are emerging. Little, however, is known on the expression profile of circulating of microRNAs in congenital heart malformations with a systemic right ventricle that is prone to functional impairment. We aimed to test the hypothesis that circulating miRNA profile is altered in patients late afte...

Abnormalities of right ventricular long axis function after atrial repair of transposition of the great arteries.

BACKGROUND While volume derived global indices of right ventricle (RV) function are frequently abnormal after the Mustard procedure, the mechanism for these abnormalities is poorly understood. RV muscle fibres are predominantly arranged longitudinally and thus indices derived in the long axis may better describe RV function. METHODS 20 survivors of the Mustard operation were studied (age 7.8-...

Results of the Arterial Switch Operation for Transposition of the Great Arteries With Ventricular Septal Defect

Between January 1983 and December 1987, 62 patients underwent an arterial switch operation for transposition of the great arteries with ventricular septal defect or double outlet right or left ventricle. There were three hospital deaths (4.8%), and no deaths occurred in neonates (<1 month of age, n= 18). There were three late deaths, one due to coronary obstruction and two due to pulmonary vasc...

Aortopulmonary collateral arteries: a rare complication after arterial switch operation for transposition of the great arteries

Collateral vascular arteries from the descending aorta to the pulmonary arteries are uncommon after arterial switch operation. Here, we report the case of a baby girl treated with coil embolization for abnormal blood flow from the descending aorta to the pulmonary arteries after arterial switch operation. A baby girl weighing 1324 g was delivered at 32 weeks 4 days of gestation, and she had D-t...
